Dr. Jingbei Li is a Piano Lecturer at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in China, where she has gained international recognition for her musical achievements. Her accolades include second place at the 4th Virtuoso Artists International Piano Competition in the United States and first prize at the 17th Hong Kong Open Competition. Dr. Li has performed extensively across the United States, China, and Europe and has been invited to prestigious music festivals such as the Gilmore Festival, the Summer Institute at the University of Illinois, the Montecito International Music Festival, Todi International Music Masters in Italy, and the German Rhine Music Festival.

 

Dr. Li frequently conducts master classes at universities and institutions both in China and abroad. In 2024, Dr. Li was invited by MTNA of Ohio University to present. In 2023, she was invited to lecture at the National University Piano Pedagogues Forum. That same year, she released her solo album, Percussion on Keys: A Collection of John Cage's Prepared Piano Music, which premiered at the Chime Hall of Wuhan Conservatory of Music.

 

Dr. Li has published five articles in leading Chinese music journals between 2021 and 2024. She has also received funding for several academic projects, including:

 

- The Performance and Composition of Mozart’s Piano Concertos (2024) 

- Chinese Landscape Reflected on the Keyboard (2023) 

- The Construction of a Prepared Piano Team Based on a Featured Discipline (2022) 

- The Performance Analysis of Debussy’s Piano Preludes (2021)

 

Dr. Li holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) from The Ohio State University and a Master of Music (M.M.) from the Cleveland Institute of Music. In addition to her teaching and performing career, she serves as the Director of the Hubei Culture Promotion Association and is an active member of the Piano Association within the Hubei Musicians Association.
