Saxophonist, Artistic Director, Translator, and Concert Producer
Born in 1981 in Taipei, Taiwan. Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Tunghai University, followed by advanced diplomas in saxophone performance and pedagogy from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) de Cergy-Pontoise, a Prix de Perfectionnement from the Conservatoire de Puteaux (CRD de Puteaux), and a Certificate of Performance from the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Studied under Jean-Yves FOURMEAU, Alexandre SOUILLART, and Lars MLEKUSCH, and explored early music interpretation and arrangement with cellist François POLY.

During extensive studies and performance experiences in Europe, was frequently invited to participate in international events such as the World Saxophone Congress (WSC), the International Adolphe Sax Competition in Dinant, the Jean-Marie LONDEIX International Competition, the Singapore Saxophone Symposium, and the International Saxophone Summer School in Brittany, France. In 2019, participated in a three-week interdisciplinary workshop and performance program with Moscow’s SounDrama studio, under the direction of Vladimir PANKOV and composer Artyom KIM.

In recent years, has broadened saxophone performance into multidisciplinary collaborations. Highlights include performances and production roles for the ISCM-Taiwan and Innovation Series-Music by NTCH (2017, 2018), serving as both performer and executive producer for the closing concert of the 2019 Tainan Arts Festival, and producing the Formosa Whispering Project (2020, 2021). Additionally, spearheaded the Au-delà du Son productions (2022, 2023), encompassing Baroque and classical repertoire, contemporary works, electroacoustic improvisation, and  interdisciplinary collaborations in theatre and dance, expanding the expressive potential of saxophone performance.

In 2024, invited to present and perform the lecture series Formosa Whispering in Paris and at the Sibelius Academy in Finland. In February, the audio-visual work Formosa Whispering 2.0 – A Music and Visual Experiment was selected for the ITSLIQUID Future Landscapes International Art Exhibition, to be showcased at the Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice (February 16–March 1).

 

Main producer and curator of the project Sound Oddity, a saxophone and electroacoustic performance at the Experimental Theater of the National Theater and Concert Hall in May, 2024.
